About Reuben Health

Hey! My name is Daniel Reuben — I’m a senior medical student and will be heading into my post-grad training in Family Medicine/Primary Care pretty soon. Before medical school, I was a personal trainer and coached in a few different strength and conditioning settings throughout college. My experience training clients with medically-oriented goals (losing weight, managing blood sugar, lowering cholesterol, etc.) is what sparked my passion for healthcare, and I’m really excited to work with patients like this in the future.

My goal is to find a way to blend what I know about fitness and medicine to make a system where it’s easier for people to participate in the management of their health. “Reuben Health” is where I’ll be documenting this journey of mine, and I hope you follow along!

The Fitness Remodel Series

The Fitness Remodel is a training system composed of three distinct tracks based on what you want to prioritize most:

  • Revive — Live Your Best

    • Full Body Strength + Aerobic Conditioning

  • Reshape — Transform Your Look

    • Upper Body Strength + Lower Body Strength

  • Resurge — Elevate Your Limits

    • Full Body Strength + Stability

The programs in each track all have four main workouts with a four-week progression. If you can’t make it into the gym for all four workouts each week, there are also three-day and two-day variations so you can always stay on track!

  • Revive: Live Your Best

    Revive is a training framework that prioritizes both strength & hypertrophy and aerobic conditioning equally.

    Each session will consist of 30 minutes of strength training that targets both upper body and lower body muscle groups, and 30 minutes of aerobic conditioning in a mix of HIIT and steady state‍.

  • Reshape: Transform Your Look

    Reshape is a training framework grounded in classic bodybuilding and strength training techniques, and is designed to maximize strength & hypertrophy stimulus in every workout.

    Each session will consist of both push and pull movement patterns as you alternate between upper body focused days and lower body focused days.

  • Resurge: Elevate Your Limits

    Resurge is a training framework that combines elements of powerlifting, bodybuilding and calisthenics to help you build a balanced and highly functional strength foundation.

    Each session will consist of movements targeting both upper body and lower body muscle groups, allowing you to train intensely while optimizing recovery.
